Connection by means of Windows operating system (for example, Windows XP)

Open the window “My Computer” (invoked by icon “My Computer” on the desktop, or keypresses Win-E). Then paste the copied link form ftp://ftp.univest-prepress.com to the address bar.
Authorization window will appear where you need to enter your user name and password received from the manager.

Press Enter.

A window will appear with the list of files in the folder “incoming”. Files for output need to be copied directly into the empty field (in the root directory in the folder “incoming”). All files should be archived except for the application file.

Total Commander (Windows)

You can download Total Commander program from the developer’s site — http://www.ghisler.com

To open the operation panel of FTP, press Ctrl-F.

Click button “Add”. You should fill the appeared window according to the figure below. In the field “Account” and “Entry Password”, enter your user name and password. Be sure to check “Passive transfer mode”.

Press “OK”. Now “Univest PrePress Bureau” is in the server list. Click “Connect” and you will connect to our server. After connection you get into the folder “incoming”. Output files are downloaded to the folder “incoming”. All files should be archived except for the application file.

Far Manager (Windows)

You can download Far Manager program from the developer’s site — http://farmanager.com

Having invoked Far Manager, press Alt-F1, and select “FTP” in the list that appeared. In the left program panel there will be a list of FTP-servers, initially empty.

Press the key combination Shift + F4, and the window for entering the FTP address will open

Enter the address as shown in the figure below, replacing the user and password for your user name and password. Enable “Passive Mode”.

Click “Save”. Now our FTP is in the address list.

You can choose our ftp-server from the list, and connect to our FTP-server by pressing Enter. When you connect, you will see a folder “incoming”. Output files are downloaded to the folder “incoming”. All files should be archived except for the application file

Transmit (MacOS X)

You can download Transmit program from the developer’s site — http://www.panic.com/transmit/

Invoke the program Transmit. In the right panel, select the section Favorites (Bookmarks).

Click Add Bookmark button. Fill in the appeared Windows according to the figure below. In the field “User Name” and “Password” enter your user name and password. Be sure to check “Use passive mode for data transfers”.

Click “OK”. Now “Univest PrePress” is in the server list. Connect to the server and you will see the folder “incoming”. Output files are downloaded to the root (next to the folder / old). All files should be archived except for the application file.

Cyberduck (MacOS X)

Select the connection to the FTP-server, fill in the connection setup as shown in the figure.

If the connection fails, call your system administrator, perhaps FTP connection requires additional configuration.
